When and Why of Makeup.

As much as I love makeup, it can be a bit of a pain in the neck!  You're feart to rub your eyes, you have to check you teeth for lipstick and you are having to top up during the day.  Taking it off at night always seems like a massive chore to me as well!

If I'm not leaving the house then there is absolutely zero chance of me putting slap on my face.  I put wash my face and put a bit of moisturiser on, and if I'm going for a bath then I'll put a face mask on.  But I honestly can't understand the point of putting makeup on when the only people who are seeing me is my sister or my mum.  I feel like it gives my skin a wee chance to have a break, especially if I feel like I'm getting blemishes or spots.  I don't think makeup will be doing my skin much good so when I don't feel like I need it, then I don't use it.

When it comes to going out, I usually do put makeup on.  If I'm going to the Tesco that's two minutes from my house then I won't bother - the poor staff there have seen me in horrific states of gross so I'm sure they are used to my unmade up face.  But when it comes to going any further than that then I will definitely put makeup on whether it's to the library for uni or jumping into town.  I've never been to university or my work without makeup on - and my makeup I mean at least foundation, mascara, blusher and brows.  Also if I'm going to meet a friend or someone, no matter what it's for, I can't even imagine turning up without make up on.

I don't mind people seeing me without makeup on, there are even some pictures on this blog of me without it.  It's not that I feel really insecure or ugly without it (maybe slightly gremlin like...), it's just that I feel better if I have it on.  It gives me more confidence and I enjoy deciding what makeup I'm going to put on and trying different things.

Such a "PRO" beauty blogger, taking blog pictures with a naked face!!
There's no major reason behind this post but I was just wondering how often you all wear makeup?

  1. Amen to this post! I love makeup, but it's so much more free to go without it. When I don't have something important, like work or many things planned, I go without makeup. Over winter break from school and work I went 6/7 days a week without it, felt like a slob but lol really did wonders on my skin.

  2. I am the complete opposite. Every day I get up hae breakfast shower then put make up on!! I seriously can't go out without it. My skin is soo bad that it's not an option for me to go bare faced. I will go makeup free on holiday since it's unlikely I will ever see people there again I'm not as embarassed. I wish I could be a bit more relaxed about it x

  5. I don't wear makeup at home, it gets taken off as soon as I get in. I don't wear it to the shop but its literally 6 steps from my house they can probs see me through the window anyway haha I'll even run over in pjs, dressing gown and slippers (if its dark). But to go anywhere else I slap it on!
I don't worry about lippy on my teeth I worry about it on my chin! My bottom lip isnt even big, I must have an overhanging one or something haha! Last week I was wearing stalker lip tar and my chin was stained bright red. So embarrassing when I noticed it would'nt budge, didn't have a concealer with me and had to pull up my scarf xx
